Dwellings are pleased to announce that planning was recently lodged to Limerick City and County Council for a new housing scheme in the historic Adare Village. The scheme comprises 99 units and a crèche.
There are eight house types – a variety of large four and five bedroom detached, three and four semi-detached to two bedroom dormer bungalows. Location and design are key – the scheme is designed around a backdrop of tree lined avenues, mature oak trees and historic estate walls, all within a parkland setting. The brief to our Architects was to create high quality family homes within a historic setting, reinforcing the architectural identity of Adare. Our detached five bedroom homes take their cue from the adjoining Gate Lodge – with distinctive projecting front gables, eaves detailing and steep roof pitches. Many front gardens incorporate black picket fences, synonymous with the nearby Blackabbey Road.
Furthermore, a number of distinctive areas have been created, each with their own sense of place and space. Historical paths have been reimagined as safe green cycle routes winding through a necklace of connected green spaces, all overlooked by large family homes.
